The League of Friends
Throughout the past forty years, the townspeople of Tewkesbury have supported ‘their’ hospital through the League of Friends.
Through individual money raising efforts, through donations from town organisations, from the Mayor’s charities, from countless legacies and funeral collections, and through the annual fete held each year in the hospital grounds.

It is evident that the establishment of the first rural hospital, and modernisation ever since, have been greatly influenced by the benevolence of the local community.
The League of Friends and the community have always played a pivotal role in shaping the institution as we recognise it today.
